So, It's Monday...
Hello, world. Welcome to Monday. Nothing really exciting going on as of now, but I've had a busy week. Thursday paid me well. I expected to see roughly fifty dollars and instead, ONE-TWENTY was handed to me. So I bought smokes first, because, well... we all know how I am without cigarettes. I can honestly say I now understand why my mom's a bitch when it comes to smoking. While at the Husky, I ran into an old co-worker from Sobeys. We wound up sitting and having a smoke together on her break and I found out the best news I had heard in a long while. You see, my ex Zack cheated on me with my best friend. Understandably, I was heartbroken - but my older sister told me not to worry about it too much, that they'd get theirs in the end. Well, Anita - the old co-worker - told me something that made my day. Jocelyn - the ex-best friend, is seven months pregnant - at nineteen years old - with Zack's baby, and he left her, so now she's trying to pin it on HER ex. Ah, what a tangled web we weave. I love getting ironic revenge when I don't actually have to DO anything to achieve it. Bwahahahaha.
Thursday evening we, as in Joshua and I, went to Rosarios for the Idol competition. I didn't place, but am going back again this week with 2 new songs. This time, we'll attempt to wow the judges with These Boots Are Made For Walking by Nancy Sinatra and I Would Do Anything For Love by Meatloaf. The Meatloaf song got me to Semi's last year, so lets hope it works again. Last night, Joshua took my for my audition at the Walterdale Playhouse for Steel Magnolias after we went for dinner - hey, I made decent tips yesterday - and I was kind of twitchy because:
- It was raining and freaking cold both inside and out of the theatre
- My feet kind of hurt
- I hadnt done an audition in a very long time
- And I wasnt sure the monologue I memorized actually existed. Yknow, false information on the internet and whatnot. Grr.
Anyways, I can't be completly certain if the audition was a success. I didnt feel a good vibe from it, but you never know. Last time I thought I did well, I didnt. Turns out I wasnt blonde enough. Bah Humbug. All that I can do is wait. Tempus Fugit and whatnot.
Ta Ta for Now,
Brena Soon-to-be-Storms
